Baby Shoe box

Baby Shoe has a box of things that, a while ago, I put up in the closet. It was too painful to see little onesies with hot air balloons, silver toy planes and Dr. Seuss books. Those items represent so much - heart wrenching nights of sobbing, the peace, hope and joy of adopting and all our future dreams for Baby Shoe.

We've added little things here and there - flannel to make blankets, the number 3 for the nursery and crib sheets. We've been given gifts - adoption prints from a friend, baby bath and highchair cover from grandparents-to-be. Slowly but surely our collection is growing and doesn't fit in a single box anymore. Now when I take each item out, all I can see is a little girl in pink and glitter or a little boy in a superhero cape. See you soon, Baby Shoe.
